13.6 x 24 Tires on WC Rim

   i finally found some nice used 13.6 x 24 tires for the rear on unstyled WC rims. However the rim has a 1 1/2 inch lip and the tire has a 1 inch lip.  what is everyone doing here? cutting the rim or removing some of the tire?  Also i have seen pictures of this size tire on the stock 8 inch WC rim but just looking at it appears to be a BIG struggle ahead!  Ideas? Suggestions?
