    Posted: Yesterday at 6:35pm
I have changed a westendorf TA 46 loader from a 7080 tractor to an 8070.  I teed into the hydraulic pump and ran a hose to the westendorf valve block pressure port.  Teed into tractor sump, running hose to westendorf valve block return port.  Teed into tractor remote valve pilot line port (standby pressure) ran hose to westendorf pilot port. The loader does not function.  I am presently using the loader attached to the tractor remote valves, which, of course, renders the remotes useless for other implements. I have talked to Westendorf and they say that the valve body sold with the TA 46 for the 7080 will not function with the 8070 and that I would have to purchase a different valve block for the 8070 at $3,800.00.
I find it difficult to accept this option.  I have received much advise from many sources and have had no results.  I've been told that standby pressure on the 7080 is 300 psi, while it is 700 psi on the 8070.  Is this a problem?   Is there something in the westendorf valve block used on the 7080 which would require alteration to stroke the pump?  Westendorf does not offer diagrams of their valve block on line, and nothing is included in the various owners and parts manuals.  Please help and many thanks in advance.  Tom

I was hoping somebody would chime in but they havent so i will. I hate to see you left hanging. Ive never had a7080 but its my impression both systems are identical except the 8070 3point hitch and remote valve is from a different vendor witch has nothing to do withh your problem. I think id plug the compensator line at the westendorf valve end. Put a 3000 lb guage on the westendorf compensator port. Active a tractor remote and the westendorf valve at the same time to see if westendorf is actually sending a compensator signal. May help may not. Im kinda shooting in the dark running it through my mind

Standby pressure on a 7080 gets set at 600 psi if I adjust one. That is NOT your problem.  If you are "teed" into the pumps output flow line, the loader valve must be a "closed center" type or nothing will work correctly. You would need a "signal" (compensator) line from the loader valve teed into the tractors signal line. It should work. It used to work. Something has changed between the two tractors.
