Today. Been complaining awhile but the PTO Kicked out hard enough it bent the shift rod alongside the trans. Has slipped out on occasion but this was unexpected. It has been passing Hyd to the Final for awhile so seals, bushing, bearing time likely will need a Shaft and Collet. While split will replace the ailing Clutch, and should a a wild hair grow wilder the engine comes down. Just not a needed due at this point.

Time for the 180 to feel a little love, as did my last two projects. PTO work is least issue, get it down to engine and she will get a refreshing.

Sky high balloon texted then we spoke on phone, his own 180 did this where Dr A gave advice, did not see how as little as .001-.003 in burred areas on edges of shaft at shift collar connection would do this but as had the shaft out to inspect did as he had been instructed, filed said burrs back down reassembled and used, amazed.
Credit to Skyhighballoon and Dr Allis. Still has and did confirm shaft internal seal leak y with a friends borescope, but is functional for the few days needed now and then can approach it as a project. |
