I recently replaced my cab marker lights [97 silverado dually] . The originals were cracked & leaking. Got some high dollar replacements, [china]
, & 2 of them are leaking too! What would be good to seal them up?? I'm thinking black RTV. Anyone had this problem ?? Had no idea there was a factory hole the size of a quarter for each light! thanks, in advance keith so. va.

X2. Zinc chromate putty would work good where the lights mount to the cab if you can find any. |

Speak to a body shop nearby, I got a partial tube of a product they use to seal cab lights but was plain label on tube. Commercial and NOT a silicone that will develop its own issues later.

I take it the new lights didn't come with gaskets?
Haven't dealt with them on newer trucks, but my square body GM trucks have had gaskets under them. Maybe make some gaskets out of something like an inner tube. |
