I have a 7045 serial number 3616 that came with a niehoff alternator. When the niehoff gave up, I replaced it with the same delco si and pulley setup that I have on my 7040. The tach then read 500 RPM'S faster at wide open. On the 7040 it's right at 2500. My question is what setup do I need so the tack reads correct. Are there multiple pulleys for the delco alts? Thanks for any feedback.
