Got a new Nelson muffler from Alex in Wisconsin for my One Seventy.  Man does she sound nice now. It really puts the Stanley to shame. Got one for the D17 last year. I'm still amazed that Alex was able to talk the Nelson company into making these again, but thankfully he did. They cost more but are definitely worth it, your ears will thank you.

Put one on the 185 last year, love it. Seems like it gained about 50 RPM at high idle, maybe I'm crazy? Looks about 1000% better too.

I got new Nelsons from him for both my WDs, and I tell ya it looks and sounds fantastic. I swear I was eating a Stanley every other year. But no more!

Yes, they sure are good mufflers! But unfortunately I have bad news about them in the future. I tried to reorder the D17 oval which i have been sold out of for a while but Nelson raised their price 400%, which would mean the price would have been over $600 per muffler. They also took 10 months to get back to me. This is a deal breaker and unfortunately will not be able to get more once my current stock is sold out. This carries through for all the BLACK OVAL mufflers, not sure yet if this affects the round silver mufflers.

I will try and reorder again in 2-3 years once the manufacturing sector is not so crazy.

I was just going to ask if you had a D17 Series 4 diesel muffler, but I think I already know the answer :(
