    Posted: 06 Jul 2021 at 7:57am
I have been through the shop manual and operation manual and cannot find the filter sized needed for a change on the hydraulic filter on the right rear side of the rear housing on an 8030.  Is it the same as the one on the left that filters the power steering?   I know I could just take it off and look but want to make the change with one effort and not have the tractor sitting in the yard in the down mode waiting for a filter when I could be using it.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply.   We are new to this tractor, love it, but are learning maintenance.   Changing the power steering filter restored our steering.   Will changing the one on the right side help with difficult shifting issues?   Also, I tried to cross reference the filter with WIX and they recognize the left one but have nothing for the right side.  That's why I asked the first question.

Non AGCO filters have issues some times, like being a hair too short.

If you have a PS trans I don't think it will help your shifting, because that filter is hung on the back of the tractor. But Joe the experts on this site highly recomend useing ONLY AGCO hydraulic filters

I think always change both filter, like said, ps filter is on the back of tractor, spin on.  Had an 8030 for 15 years, was a good outfit.
