Got a 6060 with the rear rim valve stem has rotted out and I don't have any junk rims to cut pieces out of question is- does any rim mfer sell a blank or piece that I can weld in?

5/8 flat washer. Once again it's not If your rim will rust out from calcium filled tires but WHEN Dead

Yeah Its not that simple , theres about a 12 inch section that has been abused, thats why i need a piece of rim , not a washer

Doug, you might check with your local welding shop. When I first started in the farm tire business, our local shop had the blank holes to weld in your rim. I had several done. Almost impossible to tell they had been repaired.

I had my local welding and fab shop fix holes that size on the rims of my D17 diesel.  They welded in new metal and drilled a new hole for the valve stem.  Put a little bit of body fill on the outside to smooth things out, primed and painted and you cannot see any evidence of any work or damage.

The rear rims I look at have a "pocket" for the valve stem to sit inside. It is stamped into the rim from the inside swelling it outwards. Hard to duplicate in my pea-brained way of thinking.

I patched one on the 170 using a piece from the WD that is beyond repair. After welding in the patch I then heated the area for the valve stem and used some flat stock as a form to hammer the shape. Then drilled the hole. Seems like someone here had die made? Not entirely sure

Maybe able to use flat steel and fabricate it enough to seal it up smooth it out and redrill, thanks guys

Some of the pictures are missing. Here is one of the flat for the valve-stem. Heated the area and hit it with a 4 lb. hammer. Had it on the horn of the anvil at the time. Not perfect but did the job.
Still have pieces I cut out of the junk rim to make patchs, would give you one if you want.
