8050 front plate oil leak update.

Got the tractor tore down and plate removed. The dowel pins were ok but the dowel holes in the front plate were worn to .510. So took it and front timing cover to a local machinist. He insisted on measuring the block itself so he came out to do that. He bored the holes out for a bushing and installed them. It fits the block very nice, no wiggle at all. Started putting it back together yesterday. I did locktight the five bolts that hold the plate to the block. The pump and idler gears also meshed together nicely. Here's some pics of what he did.

I used a very thin layer of ultra black. Thats what my ol AC mechanic suggested He said he's done this on several 301's.

I hope to have it running soon. I ordered the wrong o ring for water pump so I have to reorder Monday and wait.
