What are you treating low sulfur diesel fuel with?

I know about the over-the-counter fuel treatments, but have heard you can treat diesel fuel for pump lubrication with 2 cycle oil, or Marvel Mystery Oil. If so, what are the proper mix rates???

Pre-WW2 A-C tractors on steel wheels...because I'm too cheap to buy tires!

Amsoil, visit their site and read the specs and tests that they have done, also feel they have some of the best additives and oil on the market. I have personally run it for years and have had great results. I am also a dealer for it.

For more than 40 years I've used nothing but Power Service brand diesel fuel treatment products. I first found out about them when I was on the side of the road with gelled fuel. A fellow stopped to help and with only removing and dumping the filter, we refilled the filter with PowerService 911, then put the rest of the jug in the tank. In only a couple of minutes I was back on the road in a warm truck.

There are different products for different needs. The most important thing is to add treatment when you get fuel, not wait for a problem then try to remedy the problem. The silver bottle is for all year use to clean injectors. The white bottle if for cold weather use to prevent freeze ups. The red bottle (911) is the un-gel a freeze up. The is also a BIO-Kleen to kill algae and other biological problems.

Before that I was using whatever was on the shelf at the time. You get what you pay for. Since I started using the PowerService exclusively, I've not had any fuel related problems in anything diesel.

Power service used to contain sulfur but the EPA made them stop several years ago. I still use it but it is not the same. The plant that makes it is local.

Agree with Dakota Dave. I use Stanadyne fuel treatment every so often in my diesel tractors and my 6.5 Chevy. 220,000 miles and still going strong 😁

X 2 on the HOWES, I run 10-12K a month with a Cummins 6.7 under heavy tow and she likes it. You will not go wrong with Power Service, I just happen to run mostly south but always keep the PS in the truck in case I head north in the winter.

Diesel A-C's that are rarely run get a good dose of PS for mid-long term storage.

	I add Diesel Kleen Gray bottle treat 40 gallon size(38 gallon fuel tank) and add Walmarts Super tech TC-W3 two stroke oil 16oz bottle, quiets the injectors on the 7.3. Notice no extra smoke or change in performance.

	I use Stanadyne fuel treatment. its recommended by my injection pump manufacture (Stanadyne Imagine that ) seems to work Ive got 250K miles on my old 6.5 without problems.

	Cenpeco products for fuel and gas. I also run their oil too.

	Buy premium #2 diesel fuel. It is the proper fuel for every farm tractor made after 1965. Then you do not need to buy an expensive additive. It is already in the fuel. Most farm coops have premium #2. A lot of independant fuel suppliers do not. If you are buying truck stop fuel you need to add it. Edited by HD6GTOM - 17 Aug 2020 at 3:13pm

	I use a quart of 2 cycle to every 30 gallons of diesel. Seems work well
