I just installed a new 80lb. Allis oil pressure gauge on my series 4 D17 and out of the box the needle was pegged all the way to the right I messed around with the inlet fitting on the back and got the needle to the zero or the beginning position so I went ahead and installed it and the needle only raises to N and some times to the O is this about right or is the gauge faulty? the old probably original gauge I removed would go 3/4 to full.

D17 s4 gas only has 32 psi. 80 psi gauge is too big and for a diesel?

Doc is correct. I had to put a 80lb on my XT because the only choice was a 30 or 80lb gauge as the XT never had a gauge only an idiot light. So it runs between the O-M. I still have my light plumbed in but the gauge gives me the reassurance if the sending unit goes bad as it did 2 years ago.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
