i would think the local hardware store or farm store would have a box of generic keys... There are several sizes .... Allis did not use a non standard hardware item.

When in a hurry ( no store) , i have taken something like a 1/4 inch key and grind it to 3/16 width to "FIT" the slot of the machine i am working on.

if its like the one in a 220, the key will have little 'ears' on it,,, like $32.00 from agco

They are a Hi-Pro key which is harder than the spindle or the arm. I have never seen one sheared.

The key was not the problem on my D21 spindle. The spindle itself wore out on either side of the key, so it would fold around depending which way the wheel turned.
