I have a WD and a 45 that could use the WD parts. Just put lots of bucks in the WD head and now have a 45 that needs engine work. Can I move the WD head to the 45?
Thanks, Larry Miller

Yes, as long as you use rocker arms and ect. with head.           MACK

The heads on the later WDs were the same as the WD-45; 4" tall.
Only the early WDs  (prior to "engine" serial #289001) had the "short (3") heads.
If the WD head you intend to use is the "short" one, only then will you have to change the rocker arm stands and pushrods as well.

Pushrods remain the same.  Rocker stands, valve cover, and head studs are all you need to change.

Thanks Aaron for correcting that, I knew that.....just forgot.

Short head, tall rocker arm stands......Tall head, short rocker arm stands.

Oh, and the valve covers are also different too, tall for short and short for tall.
