Hi All

I have a 5015 which only has a belly mower. It is driven from the rear PTO by a chain drop box which turns a shaft that runs forward to the mower deck.

I am unlikely to find a factory 5015 snow blower in our part of Canada, so am wondering what would be required to cobble a different make of blower onto the front of the 5015? Looks like it would have a long shaft coming forward from the mower drive shaft to the front of the tractor?

What do the factory units that were sold with the 5015 use? Anyone have pictures?

Thanks in advance for anything you have.

Dave

A guy I used to work for, paid quite a bit extra to get a front mount snow blower for the company s little 850 john deere. It was about as handy as teats on a boar!
He about thew a fit when I asked if I could take all the extras off and put it on the 3 point, so I could actually move the tractor when it was on.
0 traction when it was off the ground. If you could leave it down on the skids, you could actually get around with it.
i used to dream about buying an old Uni Harvester, and putting a 3 point hitch on the front so it could be a blower , blade or mowing unit.Wink

I have a Snow Thrower that goes on the front of my 917-H, it works very well. I have weights and chains on the rear wheels.
