I met a former Allis employee at a swap meet that lives in Fremont, Neb who work on the experimental 8550 on the Allis test farm in Arizona. Interesting talk.
Forgot to mention that lucky me has a friend that has one and he let me drive it. WOW!

The guy that used to pick up our milk, when we had dairy cows, used to live and work on a large sheep ranch in Montana and Allis had an experimental 4WD on that ranch that pulled the biggest chisel or field cultivator (I don't remember which) he had ever seen at the time and that was also experimental. This was back in the late 1970's or early 1980's.
