Working on my styled 1949 WF. Got the hand brake levers loosened, took them off to look inside. Have a bunch of wasp and mouse nest crud in there. Some I can reach and pull out but I’m going to need to flush it out. Don’t want to take the bands off. What can I flush it with?

Hot soapy water then flush out with clear hot water. It worked for me.

Blow it out with compressed air, follow up with a can of Brakekleen, and blow it out again. Should be good ta' go......

I always use a shop vacuum first. I have a small hose (about 5/8") that I use to clean my pellet stove, that I use to get in the narrow places, then blow it out with an air hose to get the rest.
