Have a Case 930 that the hydraulics valves do not have a float position . Thinking of taking a valve off of a 7000 series and adapting to this tractor . The 930 is closed center , will a valve from a 7000 which is open center work ?

The valve for the 930 needs to be closed center. I don't know if the AC valve can be modified with a closed center plug, etc. to convert it to closed center, or if the parts are available to modify it, if it is convertible.

What is this valve going to operate; remotes, loader, lift? How many spools are needed? It might be better and easier to just buy a closed center valve with float on a function, like a loader valve. You should match the GPM flow of the valve to your 930's flow.

7000 is open center, all other 7000 series tractors are pressure compensating closed center .          MACK

A valve off a 7000 series (not a 7000 model) should work. Plug the load sense port.

I don't think a 930 Case is closed center, so a 7000 tractor (not a 7010 or bigger) valve should work. Actually, a valve stack from a 170 thru a 200 would also work. Case didn't even have hydrostatic power steering until the 70 series. You'll have to cap off the Traction Booster inlet fitting.

If you don't need the traction booster, You can remove that section from a 190 or 200 valve. I have a 190XT valve for a tractor that had no 3 point.

Same valves on D17IV, 170, 175, 180, 185, 210, 220, 190, and 200. All are better than 7000, because 7000 was mounted with spools up, allowing dirt to build up on spool, causing wear and leakage.     MACK
