I just replaced the head on my WC and was wondering when I need to fill the rad whats the best coolest or just lain water, appreciate your thoughts

Any decent green coolant mixed to at least 50/50 concentration. Go 60/40 if you live where it gets cold. You can use plain water, but you will not have any corrosion protection.

Don't use plain water unless you have an absolutely unfailing memory and a mind that keeps track of dates.  Plain water in the radiator and freezing temperatures will give you a cracked block.  Where are you located in the UK?  A significant part of my DNA comes from the British Isles.
