I was recently given this planter by my Aunt and Uncle. My uncle wanted to eventually use it for his deer food plots but he had a stroke and he can't do much anymore outside. He gave the planter to me knowing that I would fix it up and then put it to use. He got the planter from a farm in St. Genevieve, Missouri with a few friends of his. The people were selling the planter that had once been an 8 row Allis Chalmers, that they had chopped up into four 2 row planters. My uncle and a friend of his bought two of the chunks, that had had three-point hookups welded to them. My uncle took his home and put it outside where it sat for four years, and recently he gave it to me. The planter doesn't have any numbers, stickers, or anything that will lead me to the type and model. I would be very appreciative of any help I could get on identifying the Model of the planter. Also, I would appreciate any info that anyone has on these planters and any websites that may have parts, because I am going to have to buy a few parts for it. I am not farmilliar with AC equipment so I am lost, my family has Ford, Case, and Kubota equipment. I appreciate any help I can get, thanks!! And I look forward to being a member of this cool site!!!

there really isn't a model for the planter assy as you said it was an 8 row that was cut up.  the row unit its self really is all you would need parts for.  there should be a tag on the row unit with the model on it.  it probably will be a 2 digit number.  likely a 73, 74 or something like that.

I know on the air units there is a serial and model number tag on each unit. I'm not familiar with the plate units. The frames are a different model number than the planting units and will have their own parts catalog from the units.
