Hey guys I've got an early CA and the final drive lever does not take the standard knob called out in the parts book as mine does not have threads.

What have other people used when they ran into the issue?

It wouldn't take long with the appropriate die to cut threads. Last I looked McMaster-Carr carried threaded knobs. http://www.mcmaster.com
Or you could start with a universal knob and drill it to fit the shank and then drill and tap a set screw hole in the side of the knob.

The knob in the pic looks to be just a push on type, sold by vendors on here.  Like this one

I have TWO CA's and this knob is on both of mine.  Neither has threaded handles.  HTHs...

Thanks for the info...I did measure it and it comes in at .540 so cutting threads on it would be difficult (1/2-20).
