My truck has me baffled. Driving this morning air conditioning was fine. The closer I got to work I noticed it was not blowing cold air. Popped the hood and condenser stuff on firewall and lines were solid ice. What would cause this? Been working fine until this morning.Thanks Tracy

Sounds typical of developing az leak and low refrigerant.

However I would check the charge.

As Dave said you might have a leak as it appears to be low on refrigerant.  I have to boost mine every couple of years as it as very slow leak.

my '98 used to do that, I added coolant to the radiator tank that was low and it solved it!

Cycle switch is stuck closed running the compressor too long. This causes the evaporator to ice up. Low refrigerant levels just don't get cold on a mobile system. It's a simple unscrew and replace. There is a Schrader valve under the switch so recovering the system is not necessary.

good thought Brian, i have never seen an automotive system ice up like that due to low charge.
