My brakes are sticky what's the common reason for that?
Can they be adjusted?
Also how difficult is it to replace the brake band linings? |

Sticky? Probably a lot of accumulated gunk in around the drum and band. They can be adjusted as there is an adjustment screw on each side down when the actuator rod goes into the hole where the drum is. It's possible that everything is rusted up. As for replacing the brake bands:

Yes. The one pedal does not release all the way back to start position.

The pivot points need a light lubrication. There is a hinge between the two halves of the brake s, it can be lubricated through a hole in the bottom of the axle housing. Check the brake return spring also. Lubricate the pedal pivot pointe.
