I am putting A new ignition switch {2-wire} in my D-14.It starts, runs, but when I turn the key off it keeps running.Has been converted to 12 volt.I am not sure I put the yellow wire in the right place, also has A start button.I just need to know where this yellow wire goes...I forgot! Thank you!

Does it have an alternator? If so you need a diode or lamp on the exciter line. You can also change the 2-wire ignition switch to a key switch and use the ACC position for the exciter line.

Hmm.. yellow is the coil feed, through the ballast resistor. Since it was 'converted to 12V' , I'm with DougS and thinking it has an alternator on it now.
If so, the alternator wire is attached to the ignition switch on the coil side. Removing the alternator wire and putting it onto the other terminal of the ignition switch( the 'feed' side) will solve the problem.
I'm basing this on fig 184 of the I&T book, wiring for D-14 tractor.
What's interesting to me as none of the 3 wiring diagrams show a ballast resistor, and all 4 of the D-14s I'v had have them....

Did you get a wiring diagram with your kit?  Not all kits will use a yellow wire going to the same place.  When in doubt, look over the wiring diagram and match up your wires.
