Looks real good. I hope to get my D10 to look like that some day. What's those holes in the bottom of the radiator shell for? I've never seen that.

Holes are for external mounted front weight "not sure of it XXX weight though", it bolts to 90 lb. weight that is usually under radiator shroud. Not all have the weight under rad shroud but most series III do.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I've seen pics of the weights before, just haven't seen one without the weight on it.

That's a beautiful little tractor. It looks so much better than these roman nosed pieces of crap designed things that have taken over. JMO

Very nice! Now you just need a little tire black to get the tires shining like the paint.
I like it though. - Ben |

Thanks Gary and to all that appreciate this D12.
It is not a show piece by any means but anyone that has restored a tractor or machine knows that many hours "HUNDREDS" of hours are spent to complete one correctly. And most of the hours are spent on things you don't see. I am still undecided on the "FINAL" color I want paint the front wheels. I know that all cream is the correct color coordination for series III but I often chose a little bling factor to set mine apart from others out there. Like Gary mentioned that is what makes it mine. :-) . More than likely I will paint them as I have done on the D17 IV and the D15 II pictured below. And yes I Know the D15 high-crop wheels should be orange but once again this color scheme makes them mine. Hope you enjoy these too !!! ![]() ![]() |
