NOTICE~
Speer Cushion:

It is with heavy heart and deep sorrow that after 59 years of being in business, we have decided to close our doors and cease doing business as of November 4, 2017.

We will produce and ship product up to Friday October 13, 2017, and/or as long as we have the materials to do so. At this time we do have the possibility of some of the product line being acquired and will keep you advised of the final outcome of this. Please check our website for future updates as we will no be sending out any further mailings.

3 things come to mind.  Family business and no one wanted to take over.  Chinese make things so cheap, no one can afford American product.  Not enough people redoing seats for them to stay in business.

We were in Colorado on vacation in late September. Dropped a seat off early one morning to have rebuilt and shipped back when done. They appeared to be running with a skeleton crew at that time. Got the impression they were wanting to slow down and retire. Really a shame as they did excellent work.

They are retired as of now.  The "new" owner will be up and running sometime in January of next year.  At least that is what he's striving for.  You just have to watch the site for news.  I got that in an email from her.
