B plow project.

Only Paul B and I would have brought the C rock shaft to the builders attention. Get a B C mounted plow owners manual and see the difference.

I don't know jack about plows n' stuff, but you guys are amazing with pickin' that sh$& right out! Now ya let all the air out of Richies balloon unless he already knows what he's hookin' up. Looks great from my chair! LOL!

It came off a c parts tractor so your observation is not a suprise. My question is does it make a difference in terms of plow position and function? I couldn't find a decent B rocks haft but I do have both. A b and c front drawbar and I see no difference in the location of the plow mounts. That being said the rocks haft mount points should be the same as well. Clearly the rockshat fits and the hydraulics match up.

You know, I kind of like the C shaft better than the B. Expecially for the plow. The depth lever on the RH foot rest is kind of akward. Do like the hook C up. As usual I LOVE the B. Tractor looks GREAT!!!

PS: Remember they don't make Allis Chalmers any more so it is not a quick trip to the dealer to get the right parts. You have to "make do" with what you can get.

As anybody who has plowed with tractor mounted plows on a B or a C knows. With each land you plow you follow in the furrow of the previous land with the rear tire and front tire. You may have adjust the front and rear tread width of your B to the same width as a C to use the C tool bar for plowing.

Being your B has the reversible C wheel centers I presume it also has a adjustable wide front. By turning the rear wheels around and playing with how the rims bolt up to the centers, you may get the tires to follow in the furrow of the previous land. Both the front and rear tread width need to match and follow in the furrow.

The C plow tool bar may not work right at all on a B with a Fixed non adjustable narrow tread width.

See how close the right and left plows are together on the above B Pictures.

I wish I had a picture how far apart the plows are on a C with the wider tread width.

With the rim to wheel center offset you have on the B now, the rear tread width may be pretty close to what a C tread width is set as narrow as it will go

	Mounted most of the pieces today. Still more to paint including both plows.

	Do you know that you have a rear lift shaft from a C not the one that is used on a B?
	If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

	It's my understanding that the additional lever, the left hand one and the additional width and complexity on the c rockshaft is for mounting the rear cultivators which I also don't have yet. I suppose I could have taken a cutoff wheel and made this one look more like the b shaft but the mounting holes would still been a little different and close inspection would have revealed it to be a counterfeit b rockshaft. Allthough I could have claimed that it was a prototype :).

	From a strictly functional point of view, it will do just fine. The C liftshaft is prone to getting clothes and fingers caught in the mechanisms, whereas that wont happen with the B liftshaft. If you do find a nice B lift shaft and depth lever you will need a different connecting link to go up from the plow drawbar to the adjusting lever, as it will be longer and have greater bends in it. I'm almost sure if you take a trip to Gettysburg (Yingling's) you could find the proper parts
