replacing seals in hydraulic

   I am replacing the 2 seals in the control housing on my wd45 hydraulic  pump.  I thought I knew every trick to getting old seals out, guess I don't.  I have one out and it is completely destroyed, second one is on its way.  I had to give it a rest before something bad happens. 
The new seals have a different National number, hope they work.
