My K2 is currently set up for wheat. A neighbor has 5 acres of oats and asked me to harvest them. I have the blank cover installed over the perforated clean seed panel. Should this cover be removed for harvesting oats? Other than closing the fan down some, the other settings listed were the same as for wheat. Thanks.

I would not...why ever remove it these days,,, sell the weed seed unless they are docking for weed seed - and if they are maybe the adjustment should be in the sprayer rather than the combine :-)

We never changed much beside the fan when going from wheat to oats. If the oats are heavy they run easily, all the ones I saw grown locally were cut for hay.

Jus check the amount of grain returning by return elevator out the right side window and operate fan accordingly.
We have a neighbour that has an A-430 head on a K2 diesel.

WD45, your neighbor either only has 110 BPA corn or has an unlimited supply of tranny clutch discs IMO. Not to mention rear wheel weights
