I have a ca with a marvel 470 carb that is shot.  I have a couple of Zeniths.  One is a 9707c which I think was originally on a WC.  Question:  It looks like it will fit on the ca, but will it work?I will need to change the throttle plate shaft to make the linkage work, but ever thing else looks good.  I will need to put a kit in it before trying, so I would like t know if it will operate ok before doing any work.
Thanks
Guyton

I would think the 9707 is a tic on the lean side for the higher rpm CA engine. The 470 flows a little faster and is jetted different from the Zenith. The 9707 would probably bolt up, and may run okay till you put a load on the engine. A few things as you mentioned would need to be changed. You would be better off in my opinion to stick with the same family of Carburetors for your CA. You could use a TSX670, 486, or a 701. No changes needed for them and in the same family of Carbs. Jetted very close also. What's shot on your TSX470? I offer rebuilding services if interested.....
