I have 5 planet jr seeders that were used on a G. Looking at the manual it mentions having the short seeder assembly in the center position when planting 1 or 3 rows. All the seeders I have are the same size. So if I want to set it up as a 3 row do I need to shorten 1 of the planters? and if so do I shortening one of the cradle? Also wondering why I would have to have the middle shorter than out side and why not short needed on 5 rows? I guess it would help to know the size difference as well if anyone knows. Thanks in advance Brian.

There were special mounting brackets that were used with Planet Jr Planters. As directed and as mentioned by Tracy Martin the smaller ones went in the center. In the Patapaco neck in Maryland - at that time our vegetable planting area of Maryland - we had the G Bed, plant, and cultivate six rows of spinach. Worked very well.
Good Luck! Bill Long |
