Thinking of upgrading my mower and was wondering if anyone had a D14 or D15 with a belly mower on it. I currently have a C with a 6' artsway mower under it. I have a D14 that I was thinking of putting it under but looking to see what all would be involved. It would be nice to have the high/low, 4 gears, more horse power and power steering. I mow about 4-5 acres. I think I might have broke a ring in my C's engine plus it seems to have lost some power since last year so I think it clock is ticking. If this artsway is too difficult to mount on the D14 is there a belly mower that would be easier/more ideal to mount on it?

I know of one in the area, guy has a belly mower under his D14. I don't know the make, but he likes his setup You may consider a 3pt conversion and upgrade to a 7' finish mower.

My fear with a 7' will scalp more. I have a few areas now that get pretty short when I go over them. Like to stick with 6' plus with a belly mower you don't have to look behind you very often. Think a person has better control from a belly mower.

I run a 6' 3pt finish mower (King Kutter) behind my D14. Adjusted the front and rear tires width so they are on the inside of the mower. Can't turn my head well and watch the front tire. Works well for me. The mower runs on 4 adjustable height wheels and has an anti scalping roller on the front edge. Need to lift it slightly when coming out of a ditch bottom over a drive way approach. Like it much better than the Woods L306 under the CA as it removes quickly when I need the tractor for other chores.
