Did AC or Oxnard make a snap coupler spring tooth harrow??? I see pull type and three point but no SC. Bought a precision Oliver STH model last week at the toy show. Appears to scale about 8FT so thought I would convert it to SC and display it with a WD. If you have a photo or a link to a photo let me know. Tks, Armand

Thanks Bruce, but that's not it. Here's a link to the pull type spring tooth harrow.

I don't remember seeing a snap coupler spring tooth harrow in Norm's book. Doesn't mean it's not there though. I tend to ignore things I'm not looking for.

Are you talking about the type harrow that has the curled in a circle shanks and about
1 inch square? If so yes they built that in snap coupler. |

Oxnard made Snap-Coupler tool bars to fit CA, WD, WD45, D14 and D17. There is a picture of a WD45 with the spring tooth harrows on the bottom of page 237 in Norm's book. Might give you an idea of design.

I have a 1964 brochure for rotary hoes, spike tooth, spring tooth, and coil tine harrows. Snap Coupler spring tooth harrows were made in 8, 10, 12, and 16 foot sizes. I believe that I also have a parts manual that shows snap coupler spring tooth harrows. The parts manual has better photos. I can copy pages and send them
if needed.

They made them. I have two. One is 12' and the other 16'. I'll see if I can find a picture of them. Dave

Here we go with a pix of the 12' one. I also have a manual for it and have seen pictures in C.H. Wendel Allis Chalmers story book.

I have one of what Bruce pictured, which I refer to as a field cultivator. Here is a pix.
![]() Had some more pix I was going to put on, but photobucket is not cooperating. |

Great pictures Dave. The first one you pictured looks like an Oxnard built machine, the later is definitely a Lacrosse built too.

Thanks Dave and Bruce for taking the time to post the pictures. The next model project is the spring tooth like Dave posted. Pictures of the hitch will be a great help. I have already built a similar model of the field cultivator.

Well, I finally got the spring tooth harrow finished. I ran across a harrow at the NATS in IA last fall and decided to buy and use it. It was part of an Oliver precision set. I built the framework from the pictures provided here and some slight modification to the harrow levers to make it more AC. Thanks for the photos and info for this project. Here are a couple pictures and there are more on my website.

The spring tooth harrow was made by kovar (spelling) in snap coupler, three point, and a wheel cart style. I put a lot of them together while working at the dealership. I still have a 10ft 3point one.
