Got a couple acres that "needed" plowing. Rain was coming so I forgot to take any pics but did get a short video. Adjusted the plow shortly after it was taken so it did a better job of rolling over the first furrow instead of standing it up. First time using the CA traction booster, worked great. It was kinda fun, haven't plowed in 20+ years.

Tried disking without the drawbar control and it was a struggle. Cut up some old 3 point arms and extended them to make the traction booster work, that helped quite a bit. My tires are bald which work good for mowing but not so great in the soft dirt. Got a new set of wheels and tires from Lon(MN) and that made a big difference. He has an incredible AC collection by the way, hope I didn't drool too bad. ![]() ![]() |

Ready to roll, you can see the new work shoes actually have some tread on them.

Planted a strip of food plot for the critters but the sand hills aren't going to wait for it to come up.

Cool to see the CA working, but I really like seeing the Sand Hill Cranes. They migrate through Gainesville every spring. Tons of them fly in. They can make some noise! It's music to my ears!

We get more sand hills around here every year. Later that day I was under the overhang of the shop and a couple more flew over, one dropped down with the other two and I thought the other kept going, it ended up landing 30' from me. They have beautiful colors, and the sound is like something out of Jurassic Park!
