My G had a bad surge seems only to happen in 3rd gear. Will smooth out after a few seconds but will still come and go at times. Any ideas? Weak governor spring?

Mine used to surge every time I let out on the clutch, no matter how slowly you did it or what gear it was in. I just added another governor spring (it now has 2) and that fixed it!
