Just curious if it is possible to convert an older hand brake tractor to the newer foot brakes?
Thanks |

I converted my hand brake C to foot brakes. It was easiest to buy a tractor with no engine, rounding up the parts one at a time will get expensive and it's a bolt on job.

I have converted several hand brake B's to foot brakes. I have bought the side fender rails, foot levers and the top break band lever assembly's from a C. I clamped the B side rails to the C rails and cut off the top with a torch and ground the top of the rails smooth. It all goes back together as easy as it comes apart. |

My 1939 B was modified with a set of foot pedals that push on pushrods attached to the handles. Looks terrible, but it was cheap and it works.

I probably have all the C foot brake parts for anyone wanting to do a hand brake B to foot brake conversion as described by Dick L using cheaper C parts. Hardest part about using the C fender supports is cutting them down to B size.
