Seems to me like this should be an easy one.

Where in the heck does that bracket screw into the block or maybe I should say where does it mount?

thanks

Dave, after I re read my post it is vague.  I am referring to the steering shaft support that I think goes on portion of the shaft that is closest to the where the shaft connects to the front pedestal.  I have the block with the bushing in it and the bracket.

it has just been so long that i don't remember where the bracket attached.

I will be looking at the inside of the side rail as you suggested.

It actually goes closer to the torque tube.  The shaft does not need any support where it goes in to the coupling on the front end.
Look closely in this pic.  At the right side of the frame rail, you will see the stud of a bolt in one of the holes - that is the bolt that secures the block in question.

Thanks Myron, that makes perfect sense.

By the way, how did you get that sediment bowl assembly shined up like it is ?

How about those fasteners like on the side covers.  They really dress it out.  If stainless, is there a source you would recommend.  Locally I don't think I would be willing to get the piggy bank out to buy them.
