Anyone have any experience with either J.C. Taylor or Hagerty Insurance on an antique tractor? Discovered that my homeowners will not cover my tractors but that the cost is very reasonable for a show/parade only tractor. $8,000 comprehensive, $50,000 uninsured motorist, and $100,000 liability for $92/yr. from Taylor. $8,000 comprehensive, $500,000 liability, $500,000 uninsured and underinsured motorist, and $1,000 medical for $144/year from Hagerty.

Have used Hagerty for the past several years on a WD 45 stated amount (what I paid for it--not worth that now). $100 min. prem. a year. Can't say how they would be on a claim because I haven't had one. Mine never gets on the road. Stored in a shed in summer and in a building in winter. Believe they require a photo, mine isn't restored, a work in progress but will be kept original.

none of my tractors or combines are insured until fall, just isure them for about 2 months during harvest season. the company used then is buckeye. they cover everything, plus ingestion of any objects into your combine. a couple years ago when my combine sucked in a concrete chunk doing beans...it destroyed most everything inside the machine. insurance totaled the combine, and also bought me another like I had, I was also able to keep the junk combine for parts. and at harvest time I do run my tractors on the roadways, but have never had any claims on them.

Jay...the site was an old farm place...i'd planted corn it that spot for 10 years because of all the the concrete chunks keep coming up! just when I thought I had them all picked up...WAMMY! I just didn't see it in time and couldn't get everything shut down fast nuff! man...it took out bouts everything inside that machine! so now I can still use belts and the engine is still real good on it in case I lose one! plus the hydro...ect.
