I just have a question about the 770 air champ, I picked one up cheap and I was wondering if there is any pros or cons to these planters? also I am in need of 4 seed hopper lids these are all missing. thanks in advance

hopper lids are the same as the later unit = you will pay more for them than the entire planter. The fans must be clean and with seed in the plates you MUST have 2 water columns of pressure. You can make a cheap manometer to measure this. Check the cut off pads.
Moving the scrapers to below centerline and at a 90 degree to the opener will greatly help.   The little chains are probably frozen and will jump - replace them and the #32 chain as well.
We always used the med small plate for soybeans they are   stamped # starts with 15....
