Does anyone know of a good informational site about Ford L-Series "Louisville Line" Trucks, specifically 1970-1995 year models; something that explains and shows each detail change that says "this is a ____ year model"
I find a lot of discrepancies and variations within printed information, such as contradicting information as to which years had rectangular or round headlights; I see older models with rectangular and later models with round, as if it were an option. Sometimes I wonder if possibly a hood has been replaced with older or newer and then that throws all the identifiers out the window.

Try Wikipedia and fordtrucks.com
You'll probably have better luck on Wikipedia because the Ford truck forum mostly deals with 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks |

Some variation by year depends on "L" , "LN", or "LT" .... photos here

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Worst thing that happened to US Trucks Markets was allowing the Purchase by Foreign Corporations of the industries. Subsidization in their own home nations allowed them to cut pricing here and drive the Big Production companies out of the business.
Freightliner(Frt Lnr/ Western Star/Thomas School Bus) is wholly owned by Daimler, that also owns Detroit Diesel, Volvo owns Mack and has since eliminated all the Mack produced hardware as Differentials and Transmissions, Engines have a defined Volvo lineage. PACCAR is limited to Peterbilt, Kenworth, DAF overseas all are a Vanguard Co., Navistar or International today is a Volkswagon subsidiary. Ford HD was bought by Freightliner and became Sterling, Daimler killed off the line. GM HD was incorporated into White Volvo GMC then Consolidated eliminating White and GMC. Autocar was the first eliminated by the White Acquisition.
