Might try different bags?
I bought a cheap roll and they didn’t work well.
Heating element may have went bad.
Last year we tried leaving the corn on the cob. Worked well.

Try replacing the black oblong foam rubber seals, there are two of them.  My food saver would'nt pull a vacuum either,  the new seals fixed that.  You can get new seals from Amazon they were not that expensive.

Been using one for a long time. Foodsaver brand mostly. It can be aggravating as hell sometimes. Moisture can be a problem on the sealing edge as in none there. Sweet corn has a lot. I just did some and had to put it the freezer bagged ready to seal for a couple of hours. Fine after that. If you question the seal do it again. Insurance.

Foodsaver bags are heavy duty. Makes for a problem sealing sometimes. They have others out there that work good too and not as pricey. I won't buy foodsaver bags because of the price and try to hit a happy medium on what I get and they work fine.
I did some corn that was dated years a few months ago and it was as good as what I just put in the freezer.

Boney meat will puncture a bag on vacuum. That's when I use the HD bags.

What fixer says about partially freezing before trying to seal. My bride was trying to seal some butter beans and the bags wouldn't seal. I told her to put the beans in a pan in the freezer for about 15 minutes, then bag and seal them. Worked good. Now she thinks I am smart. Ground venison seals better when it is chilled and then bagged also.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.
