Today was the first day to actually take my rebuilt wd 45 out. She runs great with no load but just didn't sound right under load . Had plenty of power, just sounded like she maybe was starving for air. Carborater was open 2 1/2 turns and throttles up smoothly. Anybody think I might have the timing slightly retarded or I am I missing something

have you retorqed the head and reset the valves? I felt my 45 improved after break in
