I am originaly from your area and agree almost everyone had a NH. I have moved my farm to WI and out here there are three or four Farmhands to every one NH. Several neighbors have them and them work good. Also a good many Deere 400's as well as some Arts ways  and Gehl's as well. Neighbor says there are still a fair amount of parts available for them but you rarely need any parts on a grinder mixer other than standard stuff like chain and bearings. Tom

Because so few people need one. We used to raise a lot of hogs and cattle, and now we don't have any, so we don't need one. Even when we raised hogs, we had a MixMill batch mixer. The last grinder/mixer we had, was an Owatonna 424, (Does that bring back painful memories).  The few people in the area that do have hogs, have the CO-OP grind all their feed, delivered by semi. The neighbors that feed cattle just bought a new roller mill, it has 3, 200 Hp electric motors, they aren't buying a grinder mixer. I think the only company building them, are Art's Way, and all the others are rebadge Art's Way.
