I have a factory AC grill guard for what I thought was 170-175 tractors. It is one that allows replacing the air filter with un bolting grill guard. My question is it measures 22 inches inside of brackets. Tractor measures just tad over 19 inches. Seems like an awful excessive amount of shims to take up slack. Were there more that one size, could this be for a 190? I have a New Idea loader on this tractor. Can't find my manual on the 500 series loaders to see if it straddles the loader frame also. Thanks Tracy

Could be for the 180/185/190/200.  They are wider than the 175.

Be my luck at this point! Been a real weekend! Looking at the pic of the 175 that followed Tom home, they don't straddle loader frame.  Tracy

I'm not sure which grill guard you have.
The parts book shows the same fixed grill guard for the 170, 180 and 190 tractor and different length spacers. The 190 frame is about an inch wider than my D17. My 170 is not at home to measure.

We had one on a series 4 d17 that had angles on the top. Father said it was off a 170 and I know it fit tight on the d17 as I am the one that took it off. I don’t know if the d17 and 175 are the same width though? I would think so do to the engines available.

Mine has the angles at top. They are to get air filter thru. Tractor is 170-175, measures a tad over 19 inches. Inside of grill guard is 22 inches. Approx. 3 inches of spacer. Seems a bit much. Thanks Tracy

I looked at one of my 170's and the 175. Both are same width. Both fronts have the new style axles. Each front support is different, one cast with threaded holes, one weldment with thru holes. I was going to make a guard that bolted to the two front holes for starter weights, but the one with weldment doesn't have them. It is on loader tractor, that I want the guard for. I want to protect the grill. I would like to see one of the guards with angled corners at top and measure how wide it is. Any help appreciated. Thanks Tracy

I found my manuals for the loaders. Two different manuals. One for the 500 series loaders, one for the 500 series loaders  for 170,180 and 190 tractors. I see at least 3 versions of the grill guards. One manual states use 1 inch spacers each side for the 170 tractor. Still be 1 inch total to wide. It says use 1/2 spacers for 180 and 190 tractors. Guard must be for larger tractor. How wide is a D21,200,210,220 tractor? Must fit one of them. I would buy or trade this for one for the 170-175 tractors. Thanks Tracy

Well Tracy, I feel your pain. My father said he got rid of the one we put on the d17 years ago. The one I bought for my 175, thinking at the time it bolted to the front weight studs— wrong drilling lol.

I bet someone out there has one on their tractor. I would like to see pics of them. I think there could be as many as three versions. Thanks tracy

Have you seen any that just bolt to the front instead of the rails? BTW— I measured my 1970 175 and it is 19 3/8” to the outside of the frame rails.

I have not seen any that bolt to just the front. I was going to make one, but my loader tractor doesn't have the holes. The other tractor does, but I may put weights on it. Thanks Tracy
