There is a F2 with corn and grain head on the Madison WI Craigslist for $2750. Looks good but is a gas. Just posting in case someone is interested. Tom

Where does it say wide row it says 4 row head
You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul

Now I am totally confused on the corn head numbering/letter designation Confused. My first thoughts on the head in the ad is it's for a "G" model and is 6 rows wide ??

I think there will always be a need for combines in this size range.

either it is a cut down 6 row or it has a part placed on a 4 row from a 6 row with the decal. If I recall, a GL635 is a head that fits a G, the L stands for low profile, the 6 means 6 row, and the 35 means 35" rows. A G head, I'm pretty sure, can be made to fit an F if you have the right parts. Correct me if I'm wrong with any of this.

And I'm not sure but it appears to be a wide row head, does 35" qualify as wide?

One way to tell, the throat opening on the F's are 37" wide and then look at the center of the inside two rows.

In my part of the country nobody will buy a combine that size except a scrapper.  No small farms left anymore, just BTOs who want BIG green or red rotary combines.
