I bought a WD45 and the engine has been changed out with either a WD or WC engine. The serial number on the engine the best I can tell says W161508G. Can someone please tell me if this engine is from a WD or WC and what year. Also, did the WD and WC have the same type engines? Thanks a lot for any help y'all.

The WD45 engine doesn't have the cover plate on the right side of ther block that the WC and WD engines have.

The WD 45 crankshaft, rods and pistons can be put into a WD block to nearly make a WD45 engine.

I'm thinking you have a 1946 WC block.
3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.
