Recently picked up a 8x30 truck auger with 240v motor. Motor stopped running and repair shop (over the phone) says would be cheaper to replace. There is no tag on this motor so have no idea what HP or rated RPM. Any ideas what size to get?
Thanks

I'd take it to the repair shop and let them look at it. My electric repair shop sells new motors. I'd think they could tell you the size

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

My 8"x 28' has a 5 hp single phase on it, no idea on pulley sizes. It's 30+ yrs old, had to put new flighting in about 10 yrs ago and bearings in motor a year ago. It started to pop the breaker when starting it unless had run auger empty, now it doesn't. Unloads 2 7000 bushel bins each year.
