I have three 110 chargers from Rural King running for years that are fine. They cover five lots. I always buy the cheapest they have in stock.  It will not hurt them any more the the under ground fens for dogs. I get into mine more than I would like but and it doesn't keep me from doing it again. (:^D.

Just ordered a Speedrite 2000 charger and some of their wire.  They are out of the 1000 but I bet this is enough for my short run to knock that pup for a loop.

I think Dave's non-lethal solution is a good one... trap the dog (put some medicated steak in the chicken run, so he calms way down), then put him on the table, shave him bare...

That would, however, fit into the 'animal cruelty' clause of ND's laws.

Chain him up in your yard.  Feed and water him for a week or two, then call the Animal Control officer.  I suspect that there's probably a regulation in their procedure that after three or four captures, the dog owner is charged with a misdemeanor (failure to control), and the dog will be re-homed or disposed.
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.
