Been discussed here a while ago.  I think the general consensus was ok, but not an above and beyond stellar type guy.  He likes taking AC's apart and he's not on here (best I know).  I'd buy something from him if I needed it, but I tend to be trusting.

I've bought from him several times with no problem. I think the general opinion on here was that he's not big on answering questions or going out of his way for you, he has pics and description of the item and that's it, buy it or don't.

I have used him several times for AC and Farmall parts with only one situation that the part was not useable.
After contacting him he made it right and I have used him since.
He is a big E Bay seller.

I've bought a couple things from him and haven't had any issues.  Sometimes you can get really good deals on some items.  But I agree with with Lonnie has said.  If you don't know what you are looking at to judge it's condition or can't afford that something might not be right on the used part you are buying, pass.  Mike

Funny you say this, I was just at an auction yesterday. Marty bought a running, wide front WD, pretty good shape for $1375. Ya, $1375, not restored.

Also, picked up a farmall, and a ford jubilee I think. All loaded on this trailer headed back to his place of buisness, you guys will probably see them soon on E-bay in parts and pieces.

Hard to win a bid against that guy, who pays that much for a running tractor. Got a feeling that in years to come, running allis's at auctions will be tough to come by if he keeps going in this local area.

And ya, you just gotta know what you are buying only from the picture. Use your best judgement.

Marty has bought a wide arrange of tractors from some of my sales (yes, i'm an auctioneer). From a 2+2 "ant eater" to a "B" allis. What can I say, he helps pay my commission. I have been on the other end of this, bidding against him with not much luck.  Like him or hate him, he's in business. Use your best judgement.

It's not that he is a crook, or a liar, or dishonest.  Let me be clear, he has never stolen, lied, or cheated me.  I find that his customer service skills, are terrible at best.  If you want to buy from him, just don't ask him any questions.  Even if his auction description is contradictory to itself you will be wrong and may even get a swear word or two directed at you.  Don't ask him to confirm anything, don't ask him to combine anything, don't ask him if he thinks he looks good.  Pay the man get your parts and hope for a good parts.  Some people just don't understand that good customer service sells more than great prices, or good parts.  A lot of his auctions go without a bid, I wonder why, I know he has lost on a lot of my money.

I have had good luck buying from him. I have gotten Farmall and Allis parts from him, and have gotten along fine. I am troubled to see so many running tractors meet their end like this, though.
If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

There's another E-bay seller who has similar customer skills.  I won't mention any names.  He sells manuals in CD format.  He's always right and when you ask where your stuff is, two weeks after he mails it First Class to you, he screams back at you.  After receiving my stuff, I noticed that his package was not marked "First Class."  The address label was located so far down at the bottom that the post office had no place to put their bar code.  The merchandise had to be hand sorted at every stop.  Try to give the guy some constructive criticism and he will hear none of it.  You have to wonder how some people do the volume of business on E-bay that they actually do.  I suppose repeat business means nothing to them.

I'll have to second this, I quit supporting him for several issues.  have any of you got feedback from him?  at all or within 90 days?

A couple years ago before I bid on a wide front end I asked him if he was coming to a local auction yard and would deliver, he said yes(so I bid higher with free shipping). I bought 2 wfe's. my bids made him over $200. more than he would have got, then he got mad because I did offer any gas money. he bought a trailer load down here to take home. that's ok, 2 more auctions I would have paid around $300 more for 2 items, but I did not even bother asking him to bring them down anytime in the next year. I quit even looking at his stuff, the way I figure his lack of common sense cost him near $400. in higher bids from me the last 2 years.
