I know nothing about them. If they have the solenoid trans controls with the Funk trans,I've heard unsettling stories about reliability and finding-fixing problems. Nothing wrong with the mechanicals just the electronics. Do your homework!

The 9100 series are a White tractor with a Deutz engine. We had one for a while, very easy on fuel, good torque, drive train is rock solid, over all a very good tractor. Just be sure and keep the engine clean, since they are air cooled, and proper air flow is vital. What SteveM is talking about is a 9650/9655, which is a Deutz or Detroit Diesel, w/Funk transmission and a white rear end. Biggest problem with this series, is agco pretty much abandoned them, which was their biggest problem.

They were fine and pretty rugged. BUT, if you had a big Allis-Chalmers with a Power Shift transmission, it was kind of a step backwards.

Solid drivetrain, keep the heads clean. Some visibility and cab control placement but if the price is right they are reliable horsepower.

It was just a shame that the Deutz people scrapped the A-C 8000 chassis and cab and had to outsource a chassis/cab from White to stick their engine into.

I’ve seen enough headaches that it would have to be priced near salvage value before I’d consider it.

Be sure to notice upon a cold-start fire up, if there is ANY popping sound that comes from the engine. It may only do it 2 or 3 times and immediately go away. If so, that is a blown "head gasket" on one jug. I had one combine years ago that gave trouble and one 9650 tractor that did a similar thing. No trouble with dozens of other engines. Both of these operators could break an anvil with a small ball peen hammer.

U need to try it before u buy it and work it hard when it is hot outside to be sure tranny/engine tractor has no issues..... they are a solid tractor if looked after but a operator who is abusive and not willing to maintain the deutz engine meticulously should not buy this tractor as they need to be maintained properly and most people dont do that. Get the fwa version pulls like a freight train. not a good chore tractor ,best used for field work. when driving down hills be in direct. Whites powershift tranny is as good as or better than anyone elses of the time. they are 30 years old! i own two of them and would not trade them.......

There is a lot of iron in them tractors I’ve got a 9130 I wouldn’t trade for a 4455 Deere everything’s built heavier. Keep the engine clean and don’t forget the over under when servicing them tractors will run forever.
