was chatting at coffee table the other morning about heating campers in winter with their propane furnaces. said if hooked up to electric to use an electric heater instead of the camper propane furnace as it'll put a lot of moisture on the inside windows and frost them up. one dude in there said he always used dry propane and never had a problem. I've hauled (commercially) a lot of propane and I've never heard of dry propane. how about ya'll? Tom?

he's pulling your leg...... water is 'left over' from when the propane is burned, same as natural gas.

ANY fuel you typically think of.....natural gas, propane, gasoline, wood....has products of combustion of water and carbon dioxide, then trace amounts of other things depending on the fuel and the combustion efficiency and parameters. BUT, as Dave just said, all that stuff should be OUTSIDE, otherwise you won't be waking up in the morning to care about it (carbon monoxide). Your breathing, cooking, hand washing, etc is where the moisture comes from.

So, in other words, quit breathing, cooking, washing your hands, and, of course, farting

Had a propane surface mount ventless heater in our Hunting cabin bus at other farm. The interior would sweat like a monsoon when used it, fire up a wood stove with exterior flue and dry enough to pull static arcs 1/2" long!!

I didn't think of "ventless", in which case yes you are absolutely right. I was thinking about the built in heater of the camper.

Having lunch at the Ozark cafe today. I was telling a couple coworkers about dry propane. Pretty soon everyone in the cafe wanted to know what they were laughing about. Then the whole place was rolling on the floor.

Dry propane? When in liquid or vapor state? What I can tell you, propane can be awful cold, and can be awful hot.

I never heard of it. I do know some propane is mixed with butane. Butane is a cheaper fuel and doesn't vaporize as good as LP. A lot of summer fill fuel has a lot of butane mixed in. But I never heard of dry lp. I think ill google it. If anything comes up I'll post back.
